A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO MICHAEL WERTS

At the time of writing the Alliance is in its infancy having only been started in 2016 but as time progresses, the website will grow, the information will expand and the facilities available to members will improve. I encourage you to get in on the ground floor and to play a part in growing the Alliance into a strong, vibrant, energetic and worthwhile resource for all members.

Hypnotherapy within Australia has had a fairly turbulent upbringing. From a fairly tightly regulated modality through de-regulation in all states and territories; the profession has been victim to myth, rumour, innuendo and fallacy. Through my own personal experience, I have been fortunate to meet some extremely good and very professional practitioners but I have also been unlucky enough to meet and deal with some complete charlatans that lack any form of ethical practice standards. Like any profession, hypnotherapy needs to support and improve the good and weed out the bad. As has previously been stated, TAHA is not a replacement for any hypnosis or hypnotherapy association. Rather, the Alliance is an adjunct to associations. There is no requirement for TAHA members to sign up for or adhere to an ethical code of conduct but those members that do are free to advertise that they do and I believe that this adds to the practitioner's credibility.
